First trip with A&R and was very impressed with the itinerary, lodging, food and especially the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Ruth in Lima showed us around and worked with our van driver for strategic drop-off and pick-up points in the historic district to avoid the crowds that had gathered for a huge festival. Our naturalist in the Amazon, Javier, was extremely knowledgeable of the local wildlife and ensured everyone on our excursions had a good look at the animal sightings. Breytzi in Cusco took care of our group like family and gave us an extensive tour of Machu Picchu as well as her hometown of Cuzco. All the lodging throughout was amazing, especially the historic JW Marriott in Cuzco which was a converted convent. Excellent meals throughout the trip, whether it was in a 5 star hotel or a restaurant by the train station! Hand-offs between destinations were smooth and seamless- never felt unsafe or lost. Looking forward to planning another trip with A&R and will be recommending them to friends!
