My wife and I recently extended our trip in China with a private guide and driver to explore Beijing and the surrounding area in greater detail. What we have enjoyed when we travel with A&R is the ability to get the chance to better understand the local culture and gets you off the standard tourist path. This trip was even more special in that I am an amateur photographer and we were able to tailor our trip to allow me to get some very neat night shots. We traveled to a different section of the Great Wall that is not on the standard tours to get a sunset and night time shots of the wall lit up. To do this we were far enough out from the big city that English was not a commonly spoken language. By having our personnel guide and driver we were able to go farther out into the countryside and have a very enjoyable experience. In addition, we did a number of night time shots in Beijing. We went to the 2008 Olympic grounds (The Bird Cage, The Water Cube and the relatively new Olympic Towers), Tiananmen Square, and the National Center of Performing Arts. Without setting up the special agenda with A&R we would not been able to get these shots and memories.
