There were many activities to choose from ranging in duration and even the half and full day adventures weren't draining. The drivers in Italy were knowledgeable, gentle on the roads, and exceptionally friendly-willing to answer any questions. One driver who stood out and took us to Sienna was Joseph. He took us to our wine tasting and was such a help with guiding my grandmother to the car when she indulged in wine for the first time in 30 years! He drove us to San Gimignano and even drove us to his favorite leather store when we inquired where to buy trusted, authentic Italian leather before taking us home. Our guide at Sienna, Benedicta (Bene) was energetic and knew all the places that were accessible via walker for my grandmother. She was amazing to talk to and truly loved exploring the history of her hometown.

Courteous, attentive, experienced planning service pre-trip and during trip. Centrally located accommodations, walkable and close to restaurants and key attractions. Delightful itinerary with excellent guided excursions. Smooth, on-time transfers at every location.. Ease of use of high-speed trains. Friendly and cheerful drivers took good care of us and shared their perspective on life in Italy. Knowledgeable and passionate guides educated us on history, art, architecture, philosophy, religion. Guides are essential. Without them we would have missed so much. Scenic beauty, charming hilltowns, ancient ruins... all imprinted on my memory. Thank you A & R!
