AnneMarie from KY gives this tour
The local guides and expedition leaders were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly; they not only made sure everything went smoothly for us but they were delightful to be with. A+R and the local guide were flexible about substituting a sight we really wanted to see in Buenos Aires, namely the Teatro Colón, for a proposed museum. The hotel accommodations were outstanding, the expedition ship was exactly what we wanted and expected, and the food was excellent. We selected the tour primarily for the Antarctic adventure, and we were very pleased with the landings and Zodiac cruises provided as well as with the thorough information/preparation given us for these; when weather or ice conditions dictated a change of plans, the expedition leader and ship's captain always provided an explanation and substituted the best possible alternative. The visit to a research station was made even more interesting and enjoyable because of the lecture that prepared us for it. The wildlife and scenery were of course absolutely unforgettable.
