Seeing all of Africa's animals up close was a delight. Trip was seamless, everything worked just as it should. We really liked all the different lodging venues. The ballon ride with Serkan on Rich's 76 birthday was super special. Safari guides were all knowledgeable and good drivers. Philip was a gold star guide. The other two safari guides (Joseph and Alfred) we had were very good. All Alexander + Roberts representatives were professional and shared useful information.

The guides were wonderful in both Kenya and Tanzania. We loved the balloon ride in Kenya. It was magical.

So many things but the trip to the Mara Rhino Conservation area was the highlight. To see these last 2 wide Rhinos in the wild and up close was something I will always remember.

All the properties were unique and they accommodated all of our specials needs. When we needed to leave early - they opened breakfast early; they opened the dining room early for dinner because our Tour Director knew we had had a long day. Each property was totally unique and offered something different. The Tour Directors were phenomenal and adjusted the itinerary to fit our needs and give us the best experience. Layla shared her story with us as a member of the Maasai Tribe and shared much history about Nairobi and Kenya. Saidi took us on a tour of the market in Arusha where he does his shopping and shared information about the various areas of Tanzania. Both Tour directors had extensive knowledge of their country's history and of the animals and their behaviors. The Safari Guides/Drivers were also very knowledgeable and were very accommodating, stopping for any pictures. I was amazed at the number and variety of birds we saw in addition to the animals! And the Safari Guides knew them all! The Maasai Village we visited couldn't have been more open about their lifestyle and nicer to us. I think on this trip we not only saw the animals of East Africa but we got a good knowledge of the people of East Africa! It was clear that Alexander and Roberts is respected by the properties we utilized.
